Fluting pliers are commonly used to form and stiffen ribs in cowling. The TP162 leaves a large flute and is useful for bigger jobs while the small flute of the TP722 is ideal for more exacting work and smaller parts.
Jaws are covered with a special heavy phenolic coating to "cushion the bite"
