Founded by William Marinovich in 1955, U.S. Industrial Tool began as a company that dealt with the acquisition, repair and rebuilding of used and surplus air tools. After opening a nationwide market for its products and becoming a pioneer in the mail order sales of air tools and related accessories, sales were gradually broadened to include military bases, F.B.O.’s, major aircraft manufacturers, kit plane builders and government contracts.

As the demand for high quality tools increased, U.S. Industrial Tool began designing & manufacturing many of its own tools. The list of these in-house manufactured products includes 16 varieties of Riveting Hammers (several are “Recoilless”), 21 varieties of Portable Rivet Squeezers, 10 types of Stationary Riveting Machines, Hot Dimpling Machines (stationary and portable), Pistol and Straight Grip Drill Motors, Angle Drills, Rivet Shavers, Portable Air Grinders, Air Punching Tools, Tab Shears, Metal Forming Machines, Cleco Installation Tools and many non-powered Hand Tools. Also among these products is a patented Aircraft Polishing Tool used by many national and international airlines.

Today, U.S. Industrial Tool is a leading supplier to aircraft tool users servicing tens of thousands of customers worldwide. In May of 2004, U.S. Industrial Tool relocated to a new, larger facility in Gardena, California. The company, while enjoying considerable growth over the last twenty years, is fully computerized and is offering internet access for the purchase of products and other service information. However, U.S. Industrial Tool is still committed to remain “small” enough to continue to retain its ability and determination to respond promptly and efficiently to individual customer requirements and demands.
